Default INI performance & graphics tweaks here

If you are not satisfied with your game's performance, or all the excessive blur/bloom effects etc, try some of these tweaks. You can find the ini in:

My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config\UTEngine.ini

DO NOT CUT AND PASTE OVER THE ENTIRE SECTION! I have merely included a few of the settings for you to compare to your own.

[SystemSettings]
MotionBlur=False <-cuts out unnecessary blur fx
DepthOfField=False <-same
Bloom=True
QualityBloom=False <-unsure, but probably helps
Trilinear=False <-improves FPS

Colors will appear more vibrant and the game will feel more like previous UT's. Excessive FX are just unnecessary and I think it's a shame that people have to dig in the ini's just to disable them to get the game to look how they expect.

Make your ini read only after applying these settings.

Curious what the settings below do:

AllowD3D10=False <-I set this, not sure if it actually affects anything in XP
DetailMode=2 <-very curious what this is

Also, from one of the stickies, this helps hitches on Nvidia 6 and 7 series cards (just want to make all ini tweaks easy to find in one thread):

[Engine.ISVHacks]
UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=False.

Change that line to

UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True

Why Bloom=true? Doesnt that enable light bloom (which eats FPS)?

StaticDecals=False
DynamicDecals=False
DynamicLights=False
DynamicShadows=False
LightEnvironmentShadows=False

Distortion=False
DropParticleDistortion=False
SpeedTreeLeaves=False
SpeedTreeFronds=False
OnlyStreamInTextures=False
LensFlares=False
FogVolumes=False
FloatingPointRenderTargets=True
Trilinear=False

You can turn bloom off completely if you want, I don't know how much FPS it "eats" so I left it alone. Made a negligable difference for me.

You checked in My Documents, not in the UT3 demo subfolders?

Why don't you explain why each one of these would be useful instead of just listing every setting as set to False? I'd prefer to stick to important things only, I bet you don't even know what many of those things do or how they effect performance. For instance why is disabling streamed in textures better?
