I was playing Warfare, when all of a sudden I heard 2 people talking. Granted, it was a bit low, but it was clear! So, there is hope....


I was using a Logitech USB headset.

Yeah I think I explained already that it doesnt make much sense. However like I said someone told me that it could be a Playstation Network Problem. You know why captain obvious? If you play Unreal on a LAN- voice works. Ta-Da! Everyone knows the Playstation Network has issues.... lag... and not to mention the horribly small size of the font. (Have you ever tried to read it?) I fail to believe that Unreal would make a game and it not work with voice and then not patch it immediately. Do the other games you play have mods and support PC play? No. Perhaps the Playstation Network is having problems with the above?? Possibly yes, possibly no... however either way its broken.

Hmmm, did you read the other posts? This is common... sometimes you hear someone, always low, or garbled. Never consistently. If this is hope we are in trouble.

Wow, get off your high horse man. I know you have blind faith in your favorite devs, but come on... everything is fine with PSN. I dont lag. I dont know what your prob is with font either... get glasses. What I do know is EVERY game I own works out the box with voice chat. But you know... maybe you are right. Sony is sabotaging Epic!!!!!!

What LAN functionality DOES address is that there may be an issue with correct port forwarding and/or the PS3 NAT connection. The PSN has zippy to do with voice chat- and this is well-proven by other games that work fine. This is likely a software issue that has difficulties routing traffic correctly in and out of our individual internet connections not the PSN.

The font isnt small? (your the first to say that). Dont tell me you can read the little tiny font at the bottom of Unreal in matches. Have you been in the Playstation Store? (look at the descriptions of the games its so small it is unbearable) Have you used a 360? Chat works.. not only that but inviting friends to a game is a breeze, you can chat while navigating menus also. (unlike the PS3). Overall it is a million times better. In fact Wiis online effort is better. I have all 3 and it would be obvious to anyone that does. PSN is a joke.

Wow you figured it out!!! Congrats so it works now, right??...... ohhh.......

One thing I noticed the 360 has no issues with port forwarding and neither did any Epic games on that system. Id be willing also to bet my PS3 when Unreal comes out on the 360 it will have a working chat system.

Yeah we get it. You are a 360 fan. Why dont you go play your Halo2.5 and quit complaining about the PS3. I have a 50" HDTV and I have NO Problem reading font anywhere. I dont know what to tell you.

I will bet you when it comes out Mods wont be allowed... or if they are, it wont be free. Oh and GL with all those mods on your huge xbox HDD.
