Gears of War 2 Download Codes

I have just received word from Six Okay regarding the unlock codes for weapons and the map pack.

"We are aware of the issue and looking into what might be causing the problem. Once I have more specific information I’ll let you know what’s happening."

Hey guys, we've got this sorted. If you've already tried to download the Golden Lancer and had issues, just follow the steps below and you'll be... well, Golden

1. Launch the Xbox Dashboard
2. Sign into your Profile
3. Go to the Marketplace blade
4. Select “Account Management”
5. Select “Download History”
6. Under the “Games” section, select “Gears of War 2 Gold-Plated Lancer Assault Rifle”
7. When the blade appears, select “Download Again”
8. Wait until the “download complete” confirmation toast appears

If you're already on NXE:

1. Launch the Xbox 360 Dashboard
2. Sign into a Profile
3. Go to the My Xbox channel
4. Select your profile (second selection) and press A
5. Select “Account Management”
6. Select “Download History”
7. Under the “Games” section, select “Gears of War 2 Gold-Plated Lancer Assault Rifle”
8. When the blade appears, select “Download Again”
9. Wait until the “download complete” confirmation toast appears

I’ve heard reports of people having to try re-downloading it a couple of times, so if you still get an error, please wait a few minutes and try again. Also, try deleting the original download, and THEN re-downloading it. As long as you entered the code and initiated the original download, deleting this won't cause any re-download issues.

I bought the Limited Edition and i put in my gold lancer code but the download encountered and error and now my code doesnt work. How do i get this fixed?

Hi. I was at my Gamestop for the midnight release, and I got the Limited Edition of the game. I got three code cards for the free gold Hammerburst, the free Flashback map pack, and a special Xbox Live GOW theme for when they update the Live marketplace soon. I went to put in the codes, and got a message saying the code was invalid. I have referred to the above post from Epic. I hope it is fixed soon. I plan on playing a lot this weekend in multiplayer. It just would be cool to have the gold Lancer, and Hammerburst there for me to use.

The way to solve this is by going to Account on the Live tab, Download History and then look around for the golden lancer and it will let you download it.
