Map - Deathmatch (PC) DM-MCC-Hangar [FINAL]

Name: DM-MCC-Hangar
Version: v1.02 (Final)
Player Count: 4 to 8 players
Compatibility: UT3 PC v2.0
Release Date: 4/17/09

Comments:
The idea behind this one is that this is where the drop ship from HeatRay originates. You can see the drop sequence on one of the control room monitors as it is happening in the level. This is first and foremost a Kismet based level which can affect performance especially on lower end CPU's. It is also fairly intense graphics-wise. I improved performance quite a bit but this is generally going to be for high end machines. Have fun finding creative ways getting to the redeemer!

Description:
Previously operated by Liandri for commercial transport at the edge a worm hole, this abandoned space station has been taken over by the Necris. Converting the deep space travel stasis pods to be used for the necrification process and reprogramming the indigenous robot crew, the station now functions as a potent Dark Walker delivery system for the Necris. The station is highly effective due to the stability of the platform which is attributed to the Liandri proprietary reverse gravity ring that rotates around the station.

I really enjoyed the beta version of this map. Thanks for making a good map!
Does this has better performance at the hangar? I remembered having frame rate drops at hangar in beta version.

I was able to capture a few extra frames with help from Bazzwano but it still is not anywhere as good as I'd like it. I wish I could have done better with it.

Looks great. It has a certain level of clarity that most stock UT maps don't have, it doesn't seem filled with DOF or bloom. Nice work

Yeah, I tried not to go too crazy with the postprocessing. There is just enough there to smooth the edges out.

Doing my best Jessica Simpson imitation here but... Can I start this thread over?

Unfortunately I had a mesh that was badly moved out of place that I didn't notice before. I'm going to upload a new version shortly but keep the name the same (not ready to muck up the name with a version just yet). Sorry for the inconvenience. You will need to download this version and overwrite the old.

*Edit: New link is in available to v1.02

After reinstall my system (Windows & all the rest), I'm able to play the map v. 1.02 without crashing now

Great work & THX again

Woohoo!! That is awesome! Thanks for doing that because I've been having some nagging doubts about the map since your problems.
