Looks pretty neat, after seeing the screenshots I see that the fire in screenshot nr2 doesn't lit up it's surroundings at all. Will download and try it out later tonight

There are a few small build errors I noticed, I'm not happy about some of the lighting and the Lifts don't behave themselves online So there is more work to be carried out on it.

I just tested this map and it seems to run okay for me. Any chances that your going to finish it? I remember this layout. Is it a remake from a 2k4 map?

Yep, it's a remake of a 2k4 map - with the original authors blessing.
Hopefully I will find some time this week to finish it off.

There were problems with Beta19 so here is the newer version
Changelog from Beta019 Lighting much much improved. Killer lift sorted - Thanks to ASO for pointing that out. Lifts improvement, should work much better. Map build errors & General Beautification. ![]() ![]() ![]() Contrast-Beta20.zip

wow i just tryed beta 20 and this is a keeper for me
the layout of the map is original ,fun and very efficient.that ZAxed action is a blast and allow all kind of mooves...pure flying monkey map haha^^ some observations: -the fire sound isnt enough progressive -the wood on thoses huge wood arches is not pleasant to watch and have an IKEA side in fact i was axpecting some massive pieces of wood and not that "assemblage" and oblique angles(+ in some places it s not the same scaling) -u can walk on fire without damages, not coherent -some places looks empty and dont present interrest; why dont u add more items like shield belt; redemer; invisibility or more? some health more can be welcome too as the map is big and allow a big playercount -the lamps are nice but something looks wrong : like if the light reflection on walls and the halo were more powerfull than the brigtness of the lamps themselves; perhaps can u make em more transparent to show the flames more or make the "glass looking" more light emissive -some will probaly tell that some parts looks repetitive (fire; lamps; meterial on walls) i personnaly like that way ; it gives to the map a mysterious athmosphere -u have use the "old wood stock mesh" on that little bridge and it s not really according with the triming.... and with the rest of the map too btw ![]() excellent map; thx for ur work

Coolcat22 & Bl!tz~ Thanks for the comments.
To answer Bl!tz~ comment in turn -Yep I can sort the fire sound out - I agree I spent a while yesterday looking at them and came to the same conclusion- there will be changes there -The big fire place does kill you, if your talking about the two in the middle of the map under the grill, I don't want them to damage,it in a very central place and there are lots of fighting there without worrying about standing on the gills. -I will add more pickup's as it's a copy of an older ut2k4 map the pickups are as that but I can sort more out. -Now I look again at the lamps they could do with been a bit brighter - This map was started by others and I think they picked that wood to make it look like it's been weathered from the outside. and I thought I had about finished it
